Considering this is my first batch of reviews, bear with me. I am going to take my time in writing a review on each anime, therefore it is going to take at least a week at best for me to cover each and every one of the mature anime I have watched over the past month or so.
Ghost In The Shell- Undoubtably one of my favourite action anime shows, it contains enough shooting, dialogue, and drama to keep things interesting. Case in point, there are also quite a few realistic characters in an unreal setting, where the human essence is all that is left of most of the human population in Japan and where the remaining few are convinced that going full cyborg is better than living a limited life. Despite all the action, drama, and chemistry in this anime, I found that, in parts, there was a temporary lack of facial emotions. Keeping that in mind, it is hard to record human emotion into a cartoon in every possible situation. A well-rounded anime for teenaged and adult anime lovers.
Neon Genesis Evangelion- Also a favourite of mine. This anime is very similar to GITS, with one thing different- instead of cyborgs, they are dealing with aliens from a biblical context. It is laughable at times, but there are sad parts as well and, sadly, the ending is one of them. Despite there being a sad ending in this series, I loved the overall anime. Also, I would recommend anyone who enjoys watching a series complete with a sad ending to watch this, as it has very good quality drawings and voice-dubbing to go with it. Also, the storyline is easy to follow while, at the same time, hard to predict. A very beautiful show to watch, for sure.
Mnemosyne- This story presides over a mythical being call the Bird Man, who arrived and evolved the human species from sea-dwellers to land-dwellers. The Bird Man was one who encouraged peace, wisdom, and prosperity in the human population, but non listened nor heeded his advice. The story then moves on to two power-hungry organizations seeking to discover the mythical being and derive the powers from it, only to perish in their own misinterpretation. This is a classic case of human fallacy, where the ones most corrupt have the most to lose and the ones who are the most serene have the most to gain. A very good show to watch if anyone is interested in fictional conspiracies, science fiction, and the human sixth sense, among other characteristics of the show.
Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko- A very questionable story, it takes place in Japan among high school students wishing many things that they shouldn't not have, such as a façade or emotions. If you will, this is very entertaining, with all aspects of the craziness of high school life and the male and female mind included. I recommend this to anyone with a passion for human perversion and enjoys a good laugh in the face of perverts.
Princess Lover- Also a great anime to watch. It's especially great for when you are bored or down. Seeing that every story is unique both in plot, scenario, and character, each has its own special uniqueness to them. Such is the same case with this one. Although it's an ecchi on the surface, you can notice many other aspects to it that are just human nature- embarrassment, fun, laughter, and jokes of everything. If you like an anime to be just raunchy, then I don't recommend this. If you like a well-rounded anime with some or many raunchy scenes in it, this anime is for you. If you don't like any raunchy anime, then why are you reading these separate reviews?
